110 Defender Full Hood

Fits from the windscreen to the rear of the vehicle on all Short Wheelbase 110” Defenders 

All Later type Defender Full Hoods from the year 2000 Onwards so this includes TD5 & the later Puma type Defenders had an internal Flat Rigid Plastic Strip sewn to the front of the hood, this was held in place by a screen rail that bolted to the windscreen top face with a grove/slot in the forward edge that the sewn in insert slotted into this held the hood in place very securely. 

Please note: This hood will only fit this later type of screen rail.

• High-grade window to reduce the risk of cracking or smoking and all our windows are edge finished with the correct tape that was used in production to finish the inside face.
• Buckles and tips are solid brass and we only use nickel plated brass eyelets.

• Rollup straps are used to enable you to roll up the sides and the rear panels when required 
• 18oz 100% Natural Cotton Fiber for Exmoor Canvas Hoods and we have a lot of input into this material at the point of production.

Canvas is pre-shrunk which helps to reduce the onward shrinkage when the product is in use, however if the hood when fitted is not kept lashed down in wet conditions shrinkage can still occur.

These Original pattern hoods are designed to fit Original Galvanized style hoop sets.

NOTE: All canvas soft tops may wick water the first 2-3 times they get wet. Once they have naturally dried, the weave should become watertight. Seam wicking can be prevented at any time by rubbing natural beeswax over the seam as was originally done.
