NOTE: Slotted and drilled rotors are designed to enhance cooling during extreme braking associated with racing. It is important to understand under normal driving conditions they have a reduced service life when compared to smooth surface rotors, especially in northern climates. The slots and holes become filled with corrosion that is smeared across the braking surface contaminating the brake pads reducing braking effectiveness and service life.
