NOTE: We recommend replacing the speedometer cable when replacing the speedometer. It is important than the speedometer cable is in optimum condition and that it is routed correctly to avoid a bouncing speedometer needle at low speeds. Two common mistakes to avoid when routing a speedometer cable is allowing it to sag, or bend in the first 4 inches from where it secures to the transfer box and locating it too close to the exhaust pipes. For an accurate speed reading tight turns, or bends in the cable need to be avoided to prevent a bouncing speedometer needle. For matching speedometer cable use PLL570.
