With bigger pistons and a variable turbo, our engine produces 24 more horsepower (a 22% improvement at 200 less rpm!) and 82 more lbs ft of torque (a 42% improvement at 400 less rpm!) than the original 300Tdi.
Our engine manufacturer starts with a used 300Tdi cylinder block, which is subjected to a rigorous overhaul process. The 2.5 liter 300Tdi block is then bored to 2.8 liters and assembled with all new parts, including a new variable geometry turbocharger, cylinder head, valves, guides, springs, injectors, glow plugs, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, timing case, timing gears, alternator, starter, water pump, power steering pump, fan, viscous assembly, vacuum pump, pulleys, bearings, seals and gaskets. Includes new heavy duty clutch assembly and engine mounts. The cylinder block is the only recondition component used in this engine assembly everything else is a brand new Genuine, or OEM component.
