Super detailed 1:72 scale die cast metal and plastic model of the famed 2.25 Petrol Military 88 Airportable, nicknamed Lightweight. First introduced in 1969 the Airportable became the British Military's standard issue SWB servicing in a wide variety of roles until being replaced by the Land Rover 90 in 1986. It also served with a number of NATO countries in both 12 volt GS (General Service) and 24 volt FFR (Fitted For Radio) variations, including 2.25 diesel powered models. Offered here in United Nations livery the Land Rover 88 Airportable saw peace keeping duties across the globe. Made in Great Britain.
